Online Dating Tips for Women

By Lisa Monroe

If you are a woman in search of your knight in shining armor, and you want to use the internet to help you find that knight, you do not have to lower your standards. Online dating has grown over the years and I know of many couples who are happily married today who found each other over the internet.  Just make sure you are aware of the pitfalls of online internet dating, like you are aware of the pitfalls of dating someone you meet the traditional way.  You can find more information about online dating at http://tinyurl.com/mrfsv3 Women should be selective but they should not limit their dating options exactly to their ideal man. When you limit your dating options you also limit your possibility of a good catch. You never know when you may find a diamond in the rough.

Create an interesting profile. This is one way to attract your prince charming. The content of your profile should be honest and true if you are looking for someone who will honest and true with you.  Do not expect to find someone by using online dating if you are not honest about yourself. I have heard men complain about women lying about their age or using old pictures on the internet just to attract someone.  This is a turn off and will not increase your online dating potential.

Thus, put something on your profile that will make a good first impression. This impression should also last a lifetime. Keep in mind to upload a photo with your most attractive smile.  Your photo should be a recent photo that depicts how you really are.

Avoid overly sexual photos – you do not want to attract the wrong type or attract someone who is looking for just a sexual partner.

When you are online dating, safety is the number one goal. Make sure your common sense is working well. Do not give your personal home address to your online date. If you plan to meet up somewhere, have someone to accompany you or know about your plans.  Meet in a public place where you are very visible.

If uneasiness is felt while being with your date, you have the right to stop and cut all contact off between the both of you. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Online dating is a rapidly growing activity. Remember, you do not have to pay to be successful at online dating.
